Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MUC15 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MUC15 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MUC15 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MUC15 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and CESC show a favorable association.

LUAD, KIRC, and STAD are the cancer types where MUC15 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
