MTTP

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTTP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTTP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where MTTP RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTTP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRP, KICH, and BLCA are the cancer types where MTTP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
