Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTRES1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTRES1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MTRES1 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTRES1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and GBM show a favorable association.

COAD, HNSC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where MTRES1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
