Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTPN mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTPN data layer compared with 30 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MTPN mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTPN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and PDAC show a favorable association.

LUAD, CCRCC, and COAD are the cancer types where MTPN mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
