Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND5P2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTND5P2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MTND5P2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTND5P2 is over-expressed in tumor.
STAD, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where MTND5P2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
