Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND4P21 RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTND4P21 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher MTND4P21 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTND4P21 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and READ show a favorable association.

MESO, COAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where MTND4P21 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
