Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND1P26 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTND1P26’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MTND1P26 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTND1P26 is over-expressed in tumor.
STAD are the cancer types where MTND1P26 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
