Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND1P15 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTND1P15’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where MTND1P15 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTND1P15 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and ESCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, ESCA, and KICH are the cancer types where MTND1P15 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
