Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTHFD2L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTHFD2L data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MTHFD2L Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTHFD2L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, SARC, and ACC are the cancer types where MTHFD2L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
