Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTHFD1L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTHFD1L data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher MTHFD1L mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTHFD1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and GBM show a favorable association.

PDAC, CCRCC, and LSCC are the cancer types where MTHFD1L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
