MTCYBP18

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCYBP18 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTCYBP18’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where MTCYBP18 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTCYBP18 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, CHOL, and COAD are the cancer types where MTCYBP18 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
