Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO3P27 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTCO3P27’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where MTCO3P27 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTCO3P27 is over-expressed in tumor.
THCA, PRAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where MTCO3P27 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
