Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO1P8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTCO1P8 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MTCO1P8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTCO1P8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC and ACC show a favorable association.
KIRC, CESC, and READ are the cancer types where MTCO1P8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
