Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO1P55 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTCO1P55 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT), where higher MTCO1P55 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTCO1P55 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and KIRP show a favorable association.

TGCT, CHOL, and BRCA are the cancer types where MTCO1P55 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
