Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO1P25 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTCO1P25 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MTCO1P25 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTCO1P25 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and HNSC show a favorable association.
KIRP, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where MTCO1P25 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
