Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTATP6P15 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTATP6P15’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where MTATP6P15 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTATP6P15 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, BRCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where MTATP6P15 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
