Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MT4 data layer compared with 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher MT4 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and ESCA show a favorable association.

ACC, LUAD, and STAD are the cancer types where MT4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
