Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT1IP RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MT1IP data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher MT1IP RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT1IP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and THCA show a favorable association.

MESO, STAD, and THCA are the cancer types where MT1IP RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
