Across TCGA patient cohorts, MT1F protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 6,994 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MT1F-associated genes across cancer lineages are MT1G, MT1E, and MT2A. Each is linked with MT1F in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MT1F-to-partner and partner-to-MT1F results are reported.
