Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT-TS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MT-TS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher MT-TS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT-TS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG show a favorable association.

CESC, ESCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where MT-TS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
