Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT-TQ RNA is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MT-TQ data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher MT-TQ RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT-TQ expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

BRCA, LUAD, and OV are the cancer types where MT-TQ RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
