Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT-ATP6 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MT-ATP6 data layer compared with 3 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MT-ATP6 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT-ATP6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and KIRP show a favorable association.

LUAD, SKCM, and ACC are the cancer types where MT-ATP6 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
