Across TCGA patient cohorts, MSTN mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 19 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MSTN-associated genes across cancer lineages are 14-3-3_beta, MEK1, and p27_pT157. Each is linked with MSTN in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MSTN-to-partner and partner-to-MSTN results are reported.
