Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MSMP Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MSMP data layer compared with 1 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MSMP Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MSMP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and UCEC are the cancer types where MSMP Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
