Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MS4A4A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MS4A4A data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher MS4A4A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MS4A4A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where MS4A4A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
