Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL18 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL18 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MRPL18 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL18 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRP, READ, and ESCA are the cancer types where MRPL18 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
