Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MROH2A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MROH2A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where MROH2A RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MROH2A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and UCEC are the cancer types where MROH2A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
