Across TCGA patient cohorts, MPZ protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 2,222 significant associations in total. HNSC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MPZ-associated genes across cancer lineages are CASQ2, F13A1, and LYVE1. Each is linked with MPZ in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MPZ-to-partner and partner-to-MPZ results are reported.
