Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MMP20 RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MMP20 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher MMP20 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MMP20 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and BRCA show a favorable association.

ACC, KIRP, and CESC are the cancer types where MMP20 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
