Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MMP1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MMP1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher MMP1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MMP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.

GBM, PDAC, and LSCC are the cancer types where MMP1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
