Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MMEL1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MMEL1 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher MMEL1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MMEL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and BLCA show a favorable association.
MESO, LGG, and BLCA are the cancer types where MMEL1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
