Across TCGA patient cohorts, MMD mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 21 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MMD-associated genes across cancer lineages are INPP4B, XRCC1, and ATM. Each is linked with MMD in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MMD-to-partner and partner-to-MMD results are reported.
