Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MLKL Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MLKL data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MLKL Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MLKL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRP, STAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where MLKL Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
