Across TCGA patient cohorts, MLKL protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 19,941 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MLKL-associated genes across cancer lineages are ZBP1, ITGB7, and NLRC5. Each is linked with MLKL in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MLKL-to-partner and partner-to-MLKL results are reported.
