Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MKLN1-AS RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MKLN1-AS data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MKLN1-AS RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MKLN1-AS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and STAD show a favorable association.

KIRC, LIHC, and CESC are the cancer types where MKLN1-AS RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
