Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MKKS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MKKS data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MKKS Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MKKS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRP, UCEC, and LUSC are the cancer types where MKKS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
