Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR99A RNA is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR99A data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MIR99A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR99A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and SARC show a favorable association.

HNSC, SKCM, and THCA are the cancer types where MIR99A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
