Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6859-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR6859-1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MIR6859-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR6859-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and UCS show a favorable association.

KIRC, PAAD, and UVM are the cancer types where MIR6859-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
