Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR508 RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR508 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MIR508 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR508 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and KIRP show a favorable association.
KIRC, LUAD, and OV are the cancer types where MIR508 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
