Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR486-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR486-1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MIR486-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR486-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and HNSC show a favorable association.

LUAD, TGCT, and ESCA are the cancer types where MIR486-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
