Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR4433B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR4433B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where MIR4433B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR4433B is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC are the cancer types where MIR4433B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
