Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR4306 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR4306’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where MIR4306 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR4306 is over-expressed in tumor.
ESCA are the cancer types where MIR4306 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
