Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR3680-2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR3680-2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MIR3680-2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR3680-2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, KIRC, and THCA are the cancer types where MIR3680-2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
