Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR365A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR365A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where MIR365A RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR365A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, LIHC, and THCA are the cancer types where MIR365A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
