Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR26A1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 14 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR26A1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher MIR26A1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR26A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and ESCA show a favorable association.

THCA, LUAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where MIR26A1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
