Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR208B RNA is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR208B data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher MIR208B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR208B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and HNSC show a favorable association.
STAD, READ, and PAAD are the cancer types where MIR208B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
