Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR153-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR153-1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher MIR153-1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR153-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD show a favorable association.

THCA, ACC, and LUAD are the cancer types where MIR153-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
