Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR151B RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR151B data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MIR151B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR151B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as DLBC and SKCM show a favorable association.

KIRP, LIHC, and DLBC are the cancer types where MIR151B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
