Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR1251 RNA is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR1251 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher MIR1251 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR1251 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV show a favorable association.
CESC, LUAD, and ACC are the cancer types where MIR1251 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
