Across TCGA patient cohorts, MIR1179 RNA expression is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 11,462 significant associations in total. COAD shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MIR1179-associated genes across cancer lineages are CYCSP8, ZNF519P1, and NMNAT1P1. Each is linked with MIR1179 in more than 9 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MIR1179-to-partner and partner-to-MIR1179 results are reported.
